Jamaica will be represented by a 10-member team at the January 26th DSI invitational/Armory invitational at the Armory Indoors in New York City.The men’s team, which comprises Oshane Bailey, Jermaine Brown, Kavon Rattary, Miguel Barton and Stallone Watson, are defending 4×200 meters champions. The women’s team consists of Verone Chambers, Tovia Jenkins, Shellone Calvert, Okhalia Buchanan and Candice McCloud, placed second in that event last year.Dalton Evans is the team’s head coach. He will be assisted by Mike Williams and Dwayne Evans with Louie Grant in the role of manager.“As head coach I am expecting both (teams) to be victorious, looking at the performances indoors of Oshane Bailey, Jermaine Brown and IAAF number two in the world Daniel Jamison. Whereas the women should have little or no problem crossing the finish line,” said Evans.Dr. Warren Blake, president of the Jamaica Amateur Athletics Association, general secretary Garth Gayle and senior coach Maurice Wilson, complete the Jamaican delegation.
